Create your fingerprint jewelry
Before you start creating your piece from the Fingerprints with a soul collection, it's important that you read all the steps we leave for you below. If you have any questions, you can email or call us, since you are about to create a unique piece of jewellery that cannot be modified.
Create the fingerprint ring step by step
Before you start engraving your fingerprint, we recommend you to watch this video with all the steps and tips so that your engravement turns out perfect.
What do you need before starting?
A candle, 2 wax molds in your chosen size and 1 size up and 1 size down molds, so you can try your perfect ring size. When you open your fingerprint-pack box, you will see that it includes a total of 4 wax molds.
VERY IMPORTANT: We send you several molds so you can practice with them and then use the one in your perfect size to make the final engravement. Before sending the wax back to us, make sure it is the correct size. You can only send us one wax mold.
STEP BY STEP:
1. Size check
Before starting, try on the rings and once you find your perfect size, we recommend using that one for your final wax engravement. You can use the other 3 rings for practicing. It’s not very complicated, but it’s better to do a few tests first. Jewelry wax is a soft and delicate material, so you will need to handle it very carefully.
2. Preparation
We have sent you a candle. The first thing to do is light it in an airstream free place.
Once the candle is lit, take one of the wax molds that you will not use for the final piece of jewelry. This will be the one you will use to practice.
3. Fingerprint engravement
Hold the wax mold by the stick so you don’t burn yourself, and bring it close to the flame to evenly heat the surface where you will engrave your fingerprint.
Do this as flat as possible, with small movements so the heat doesn’t concentrate in just one spot, and heat only the center of the ring, never the sides.
If for any reason the stick breaks, don’t worry, you can insert a paperclip or a needle into the area where the stick was so you can handle it. As long as the ring or the surface are fine, there will be no problem.
When the wax is warm, press the finger on it for a few seconds.
If you heat the wax too much, it may drip, and if you press too hard when making your fingerprint, it may overflow.
If this happens and you send us the wax like that, the ring will keep that shape.
If you don’t want the piece to have that excess edge, you need to remove it carefully so the ring maintains its round shape.
If the fingerprint doesn’t come out well or you’re not happy with the result, reheat it and repeat the process. It’s completely normal to repeat it until it looks the way you want.
4. Final mold and shipment
Once you have the final mold, dispose of the leftovers. Before closing the box, take 2 photos of the wax (one of each side) on a flat surface and in good lighting.
Place the final wax piece inside the San Saru pouch and put it in the box. Do not include anything else that could hit or damage the mold.
When your package is ready, go to our returns portal and enter your order number and the email, postal code, or phone number you used when you placed the order.
Follow the steps indicated on the portal: select the fingerprint product you purchased, choose the option “Exchange for the same model” and click Continue. As the reason, select “Sending wax molds”.
Next, upload the 2 photos and click Continue. Once the request is approved, you will receive the return label and the instructions for shipping via email.
"If your order is made from the Canary Islands, the return label is already included in the package. You just need to prepare the parcel, stick the label on it and take it to your nearest Correos drop-off point. There is no need to process anything on the returns portal."
Once we receive the wax, our workshop will bring your jewelry to life within approximately 3-4 weeks.
All shipping costs are included.
Once it is ready, we will send you the finished piece and you will receive an email with the shipping details so you can track it.

Step-by-step necklace or bracelet creation
Before you start engraving your fingerprint, we recommend watching this video with all the steps and tips to ensure your fingerprint turns out perfectly.
What do you need before starting?
A candle and four wax molds.
VERY IMPORTANT: We send you several molds so you can practice with them. The wax molds are exactly the same; you can practice with three and then use the fourth one to create the final piece, allowing you to engrave both sides. Before sending the wax back to us, make sure it is the correct mold. You can only send us one wax mold.

Do this as flat as possible, with small movements so the heat doesn’t concentrate in a single spot, and heat only the center of the pendant, never the sides.
If for any reason the stick breaks, don’t worry, you can insert a paperclip or a needle into the area where the stick was so you can handle it. As long as the pendant remains intact, there will be no problem.
Once the wax is warm, press the finger on it for a few seconds.

If you chose to add an engraving on the back of your necklace or bracelet, remember that this surface must remain completely smooth so we can engrave it properly.

FAQS
-
Is it possible to engrave 2 prints on the same piece of jewelry?
Yes, but you need to keep this in mind:
- If you want to create two fingerprints on different sides of the necklace or bracelet: mark the first one on one side, wait a few minutes for it to dry completely, and then repeat the process on the other side.
- If you want to create two fingerprints on the same side of the jewelry: heat only one side and mark the first fingerprint. Wait until it cools completely. Then heat the other side in the same way (being careful not to heat the first marked area) and mark the second fingerprint.
